Our server polls your server at set intervals checking that your email server is functioning properly. If your server fails to respond, our backup servers swing into action!
By simply adding our backup email server into DNS for your domain, email that can’t reach your primary server due to temporary network outages or server maintenance will then get routed to us. Our server accepts email for your domain and then tries to deliver that email to your server for up to 7 days. At no time during the 7 day period will any Delivery Status Notifications (DSNs) message be sent back to the sender. The sender will have no idea that their message did not make it to you. If, after 7 days in queue, the message still cannot be delivered, it will be bounced back to the sender.
By subscribing to JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup service, you can ensure that email sent to your organization is never lost or delayed. In the event that your primary email server is not available for any reason, all email is automatically sent to one of our backup email servers instead. Our systems will automatically forward any stored email to you as soon as we detect your server is back on-line.
Our Backup Email server is hosted in the Malaysia; this will give you even more redundancy in the event that entire internet service in US is down or interrupted. All your emails will still be routed to JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup server which is hosted in our data center in Malaysia
When an email client tries to send emails, it lookup the domain's DNS to know what are the mail exchangers (MX) for the domain. Each MX record is given a preference number and the lowest becomes the primary email server. Mail delivery is first attempted on the lowest preference number MX. If the delivery fails, it tries the second lowest preference MX and so on. If there is no email servers can be reached then the email will be bounced back to the sender.
JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup service acts as your second priority email server. If your email server cannot be reached, thee mail will be routed to JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup server and wait in queues. JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup server will continually check to see if your email server is back online. Once your email server is detected available, the queued emails will be forwarded to your email server. By default, JS-Solutions Networks Email Backup email server will keep attempting to deliver email to your server for 7 days. Emails queued in our email server exceeding 7 days will be returned to the sender.
