Q: How much does a website cost?
A: The cost of a website varies depending on the site and complexity. There are quite a few factors that are going to affect the ultimate cost of your website. For example, how many pages, is it going to be a static or dynamic website, the content management modules that you are going to have, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your future web site will be.

Q: What is the difference between a static and a dynamic website?
A: A static website is one that is written in HTML only. Each page is a separate document and there is no database that it draws on. The only way to update the website is to go into each page and edit the HTML.

A dynamic website, also know as a database-driven website, is written using more complex programming languages. Each page is constructed based on the information in a database. It comes with an integrated content management system which allows you to log in and change various parts of the website, such as adding, updating or deletion of news or products.
Many clients do a combination, having some dynamic areas such as a product information and latest news where they have to change information or pictures regularly, and leave other pages such as contact information as static pages.
Q: What are the benefits of a dynamic website? A: Dynamic websites can reduce ongoing maintenance costs, as you will be able to manage the information on your website yourself. They usually cost more to develop, as they require more complex coding and a content management system needs to be developed to help you manage your website information.

Another benefit of dynamic sites is that they allow you to change only the content of the website and not the design, so you will not be able to accidentally break the visual style of the website.
They also make data management much more efficient as your website contents get larger..

Q: Does JS-Solutions Networks use ready made templates for website design?  A: All our designs are created and customised from your requirements. We don’t use ready made templates, all our websites are designed from scratch.
Q: Does JS-Solutions Networks use Flash animation?
A: Yes we do use flash as and when required. It is important to note that there are times when flash animations can be an asset but it would be unwise to use “flash” to create an entire website or even entire pages of your website as search engines are not able to read the content of flash and therefore any words used in animations will not be indexed by the search engines.

Generally it is best to use flash for smaller banners or advertisements and incorporate the flash animation into a web page which also includes some written text in html. This way the search engines will be able to index your information
Q: How long does it take to have a website designed?
A: The time frame is determined by the size of your website, the complexity of your site design, your schedule. If you have a deadline in mind we will endeavor to meet it for you.

Q: In what format should I supply contents and photos about my business for my new website? A: It will be helpful to us if you are able to provide text and photographs in electronic form (i.e JPG, PDF, MS Word or MS Excel). If that is not possible, you may also provide us with the material in hardcopy (i.e brochures)
Q: What if I do not like the design?
A: Prior to the commencement of design work, we will always perform a round or two of requirements analysis. However If you do not like the design which we have presented for you, we will discuss further with a view to ascertaining the design you would like to see and proceed to do another design mockup for you..

Q: Once my website design is completed, what after sales service do you offer?  A: We fully support any website we design and are always available should you encounter any problems or require any enhancements. We offer website maintenance so as to keep your website up to date.
Q: How do I update my website?
A: There are many different methods which can be used to update websites. The method you choose and the functionality we build into your website is solely up to yourself although we will be advise you which method will suit your needs.

If your website consists of a few pages and will only wish to make changes infrequently, it is usually more cost effective simply to ask JS-Solutions Networks to carry out these changes for you.
The other method is via the content management system where you can login and update the information of the website yourself.

Q: Is there any training provided with the Content Management System? A: Yes. We will run through the administrator module with you when we design the website for you. Our Content Management Systems are easy to use, however should you face any problems or difficulties do feel free to contact us.
